Bark Press Installation Detailed design, engineering and construction management for the installation of bark press.
Steam Demand and Supply Analysis Steam balances under different operating scenarios and times of year. Prediction of steam demand when new pulp mill was operational.
Boiler Model Boiler analysis and model of this large hog fuel boiler. Determination of the limiting factors to burning pulp mill waste solids. Prediction of air emissions.
Shop Assembled Boiler for District Heating Preliminary engineering, cost estimating and detailed design for the installation of a 100,000 lb./hr boiler.
Energy Study Study to determine the changes in steam balances, power usage, and internal power production due to transition to OCC pulping.
64 MW Turbine Generator Detailed design and engineering for the installation of a double automatic extraction condensing turbine including all auxiliary equipment.
45 MW Turbine Generator Detailed design and engineering for the installation of two double automatic extraction condensing turbines.
43 MW Turbine Generator Detailed design and engineering for the installation of a double automatic extraction condensing turbine.
5 MW Turbine Generator Detailed design, engineering and construction management for the installation of automatic extraction back pressure turbine. The turbine was purchased used and refurbished.
Bubbling Fluid Bed Retrofit Study Determine feasibility, scope, capital costs and operating savings resulting from replacement of a traveling grate with a bubbling fluid bed.
Circulating Fluid Bed Boilers Review vendor proposals and prepare a comparative evaluation of coal fired circulating fluid bed boilers.
Recovery Boiler Model Develop a complete model of three red liquor recovery boilers and common scrubber and stack. The model calculates combustion, steam generation and pressure drop through the air emissions equipment.
Kraft Recovery Boiler and Liquor Evaporators Detailed design and engineering for the installation of a 300 tpd black liquor recovery boiler, evaporators and concentrator.
Natural gas to No. 5 Boiler Engineering to add the capability to fire natural gas in addition to oil as a supplement the firing of hog fuel at the number 5 boiler. Interfaced with local PSAPCA for compliance documentation.
Class 10 Estimate, No. 3 and No. 5 BLRBAC Upgrade Provide evaluation and +10% estimate to bring the No. 3 and No. 5 Recovery Boilers up to BLRBAC requirements for an appropriations grade request.
No. 5 Recovery Boiler BLRBAC Upgrade Electrical and controls design, programming and construction support
Waste Fuel Boiler As-Built Complete as-built of the instrumentation and controls for the Waste Fuel Boiler. Project included P&ID's, Loops and SAMA diagrams.
No. 3 and No. 5 Recovery Boiler Black Liquor Door Interlocks Provide design and documentation for the installation of limit switches and operator interface for the Black Liquor Oscillator gun doors on the No. 3 and No. 5 Recovery Boilers.
No.4 Recovery Boiler Rebuild Construction support, design of new instrumentation and as-built of P&ID's and Loop diagrams.
