Job Discription's:

Senior Structual Designer 

Position:           Senior Structural Designer

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in the layout & drafting of buildings, industrial structures, steel framing, steel connection details, reinforced concrete details, foundations, masonry details, wood framing and general arrangements.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Some national and international travel may also be required.
  • Experience working with engineers, other designers and drafters as part of a civil/structural design team.
  • Experience using AutoCAD and MS Office is required.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Structural CAD drafting for industrial, manufacturing, and utilities projects; including petrochemical, pulp & paper and power generation facilities.
  • Ability to develop drawing packages, plans, sections and details for civil & structural design projects according to project standards and company CAD standards under the direction of engineers and CAD managers.
  • Familiar with drafting and detailing of structural steel, steel connection details, welds, concrete reinforcement, masonry, timber framing, foundations and basic architectural details.  Ability to work closely with engineers performing structural analysis and design. Ability to read shop drawings, existing civil/structural drawings, related mechanical and equipment drawings.
  • Develop civil and structural engineering documents in AutoCAD working with engineers and other designers. Ability to work on other discipline CAD drawings when requested.
  • Field work including structural steel, concrete, masonry, timber and equipment as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits, and construction technical support.
  • Provide training and mentoring of junior level designers.

Senior Electrical Instrumentation Designer 

Position:           Senior Instrumentation/Control Designer

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience (or extremely motivated individual with less experience) in the design of industrial control systems including instrumentation, control logic, PLC/DCS based control, distributed control systems, and control systems documentation.
  • HMI/PLC/DCS installation, programming and startup.
  • CAD design of Instrumentation and Control Systems
  • Ability to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Some national and international travel may also be required.
  • Experience working with engineers, other designers and drafters as part of an electrical design team.
  • Experience using AutoCAD is required; training in AutoCAD is preferred, but not required.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Electrical and instrumentation design for industrial, manufacturing, and utilities projects.
  • Develop electrical engineering documents working with engineers and other designers including Single Line Diagrams, Electrical Interconnections, Panel Drawings, Elementaries, Specifications, I/O Diagrams, Motor Lists, and Power Plans.
  • Develop controls/instrumentation documentation including instrument specifications, logic diagrams, loop sheets, instrument lists, I/O lists, and instrumentation plan drawings.
  • Field work including electrical and control system as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits, construction technical support and interaction with Client’s personnel.
  • Software design, programming, implementation and startup of HMI/PLC/DCS systems.
  • Provide training and mentoring of junior level designers.

  • 10+ years experience in the design of industrial power distribution systems including substations, motor control, lighting, backup power systems, and energy conservation measures.

Programmer

Position:           Control Systems Programmer

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 10+ years experience in the programming of industrial control systems including PLC’s, HMI’s, and control systems documentation.  Must be able to clearly and concisely document all programmed code.
  • Experienced programmer of Allen-Bradley PLC’s including ControlLogix.
  • Experienced HMI programmer including WonderWare and RSView.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Some national and international travel may also be required.
  • Experience working with engineers, other designers and drafters as part of a project design team.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Programming of PLC and HMI systems.
  • Develop control systems documentation including logic diagrams, functional descriptions, and control system schematics.

  • 2+ years experience drafting mechanical, electrical, structural and/or civil engineering drawings.  Experience in drafting for industrial projects is preferred.

Mechanical/ Piping Designer

Junior Structural Engineer

  • Familiarity with ANSI B31.1 and B31.3 code piping.  Ability to design and specify pipe hangers, and work with engineers on piping stress analysis.
  • Develop mechanical engineering documents working with engineers and other designers including P&ID’s, general arrangements, equipment installation details, tank data sheets, and piping design.
  • Field work including mechanical/piping system as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits, and construction technical support.

Project Manager

Position:           Project Manager

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 15+ years experience in the management of industrial engineering projects.  Experience in power generation, petrochemical, process chemical plants, primary metals, or food products is preferred.
  • BS Engineering in any field.  Professional Engineer registration is preferred, but not required.
  • Ability to travel throughout the Pacific Northwest.  Some national and international travel may also be required.
  • Experience managing engineers, designers and drafters as part of an engineering design team.
  • Experience scheduling, estimating, and planning major capital projects.

 

Position Responsibilities:

  • Management of engineering design projects for industrial, manufacturing, and utilities clients; including petrochemical, pulp & paper and power generation facilities.
  • Responsible for the project success and client satisfaction.  Responsible for project administration, budgeting, cost control, scheduling, quality, and staffing of projects.
  • Responsible for running regular project meetings to provide communication with clients, project leaders, and design personnel.
  • Responsible for insuring that all project staff follows proper documentation procedures.
  • Responsible for the quality and accuracy of all project documents.  The project manager will be responsible for ensuring that project files are kept current and complete, and that project stick files are maintained.
  • Responsible for the creation of the project schedule and for meeting all target dates.
  • Responsible for managing the project such that it meets the established budget.
  • Assist with proposal development, marketing, and business development efforts.
  • Provide training and mentoring of junior level structural engineers and designers.
